Hello, and welcome to my site. I’m the author of the Paul Dark spy novels, Free Agent, Song Of Treason (originally published as Free Country) and The Moscow Option. I’m published by Simon & Schuster in the UK, and by Penguin in the US. Free Agent was a Daily Telegraph Thriller of the Year in 2009, and has been praised by William Boyd, Eric Van Lustbader, Gayle Lynds, Charles Cumming, Jeff Abbott, David Morrell and Christopher Reich. The Times called Song Of Treason ‘a masterly excursion back to the bad old days of the Cold War’, while The Guardian said it was ‘a treat for fans of traditional Len Deighton-style spy thrillers’. I’m currently working on a non-fiction book about Oleg Penkovsky, Dead Drop, which will be published in June 2013. I have also had journalism published in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, Time Out, Mojo and elsewhere. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter.
